DAY 01
BOGOTA - LETICIA
Reception at the Vasquez Cobo Airport in Leticia, visa protocol with DAS (Colombia) and Policia Federal (Brazil), transport to the docks to board the boat to the native community of Puerto Nariño, lodging at the Hotel Casa Selva, dinner, free time.
DAY 02
After breakfast, we will walk through Puerto Nariño, visit Natutama (museum of the underwater inundated forest), visit Tarapoto Lakes (when the water levels are high). We will then travel on the Amazon River, visiting the Yagua and Ticuna indigenous communities, have lunch, visit the site of the Victoria Regia (the largest water lilies in the world), Leticia, Hotel of choice (Anaconda or Hotel de Selva). City tour, dinner, free time.
DAY 03 - 04
AMAZON HELICONIA
After breakfast, we will transport you to the docks where we will board a boat that will take us to the AMAZON HELICONIA RESERVE. Our journey will take approximately three hours, during which time we will navigate the majestic Amazon River and then enter one of its largest and most important tributaries, the Javarí River, a natural border between Brazil and Peru. During our journey, we will not only enjoy one of the most magnificent panoramas in the world, we will also pass by authentic towns that still conserve vestiges of colonial times and the rubber boom era. You will be able to see exotic species, such as the famous Amazon dolphins (pink and grey), parrots, herons, kingfishers, eagles and butterflies, all part of this extraordinary landscape. Many other surprises await you, when you visit this magical world with us.
At noon, we will arrive at the eco-lodge of the AMAZON HELICONIA RESERVE. After having a delicious, typical Amazon lunch, you will have at your disposal the various activities mentioned below. Any of these can be enjoyed according to the recommendations of the guide and the interests and desire of the guest.
ACTIVITIES AVAILABLE AT THE AMAZON HELICONIA RESERVE DURING YOUR STAY:
* Watching pink river dolphins
* Visits to indigenous communities
* Canoeing over inundated forest
* Traditional and modern-day fishing
* Exotic bird watching
* Jungle trekking with native guides.
* Journeys to the lakes around the HELICONIA RESERVE forests
* Night outings in the jungle and on the river and lakes (watching caimans)
* Swimming in natural pools
* Exploring the fauna and flora of the area
* Indigenous tattooing
* Canopying (when possible)
* Massages with native jungle oils (when possible during the season, Dec.- Apr.)
We recommend doing at least two activities per day.
You can choose any activity you like and you can repeat any activity.
DAY 05
Breakfast. Return to Leticia and fly back to Bogotá.
THE PLAN DOES NOT INCLUDE:
Airfare, entry tax into Leticia 15,000 COP (Colombian Pesos), extras not stipulated, tips, and other personal expenses. It does not include the canopying (70,000 COP each), massages (40,000 COP each), nor a bilingual guide (50,000 COP per day for any sized group).
THE PLAN ALSO INCLUDES:
River transport during the activities offered.
Specialized jungle and river guide services.
Entry into all locations of the stipulated activities.
All other activities included in the PROGRAM.
Mineral water during all program activities.

* Rubber or leather boots appropriate for jungle trekking (rubber boots can be bought cheaply in the market in Leticia)

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
The yellow fever vaccine is required.
When making a reservation, please send the names and passport information (nationality and passport number) for all guests, via email.
In case of cancellation, there will be a charge of 50% of the total cost. This is to cover our preparation costs.
At the AMAZON HELICONIA RESERVE, there is electricity from 6 pm to 9 pm. During this time you can recharge your cameras or any other electronic equipment.
The water at the HELICONIA RESERVE is potable; it is completely safe for drinking.
The activities inside the HELICONIA RESERVE may be cancelled or re-scheduled due to weather conditions or upon the activity guide’s decision.
AMAZON HELICONIA RESERVE assumes no responsibility for expenses due to the delay or change of airline flight schedules.
